Ngāti Whakaue has embarked on a journey

that has as its destination the collective well-being of the Iwi and the community in which we live.

Te Taumata o Ngāti Whakaue Iho-Ake Trust (Te Taumata) was established to deliver on this vision.

Our whānau live within the integrated system dynamic of whānau-hapu-iwi. We, as Iwi, have a vital role in ensuring that whānau remain connected, supported to aspire and empowered to achieve.

Te Taumata believes early access to high quality, whānau focussed, culturally appropriate early childhood education is the most effective way to achieve this. We also recognise that we are part of a wider community and work hard to impact positively on that community.
